SESSION NOTES: NOVEMBER 2014
Mix engineer Edward “UK” Nixon spent 21 days in Studio A to finish mixing a 13-song album for rapper/ actor Astro (The Astronomical Kid). A former Epic Records artist and “X-Factor” season 1 finalist, the 18-year old Astro is currently in Atlanta filming a major motion picture. The critically acclaimed album, entitled “Computer Era” was released independently on Grade A Tribe Records this month.
Producer Blac Elvis continued his work in Studio B, spending 14 days working on various songs with his stable of Mars On Sunday artists, including Pippy Thomas and Charmaine, with Keon engineering.
Polo Grounds/ Capitol Records artist Diamond booked 5 sessions in Studio C this month with engineer Steve Fisher to record some new material for her upcoming mixtape. NNTME MuCo. songwriter Felisha King also spent 4 days in Studio C with engineer Quick and producer B.Harv writing new songs for her catalog.
Sko booked 2 days in Studio C for various up and coming artists to host meetings and listening sessions with RocNation‘s Senior Vice President Lenny S., who flew in from New York to attend.
Drumma Boy spent a day in Studio A to do some production for Lalela Records artist Chinky, with Pat engineering.
Money Tree Entertainment booked a session for Oklahoma based artist Zo Zilla in Studio C, with EJ Washington engineering, , and Big D came in for 2 days in Studio B, again with EJ engineering.
Independent artist QHeff booked a session with engineer EJ Washington in Studio C, as did indy artist Partier. Gwalla Man Dash booked 3 sessions in Studio C, also with EJ handling engineering duties. All Nite Mike booked a session in Studio A with their engineer Ray.
