SESSION NOTES: FEBRUARY 2015

February was another busy month here at 11th Street Studios, as producer Blac Elvis continued his occupation of Studio B, booking 20 days to work with his stable of Mars On Sunday artists, including Pippy Thomas, Charmaine, Princess (from Crime Mob).   Various guests stopped by to have meetings, including A&R Kevin Shine, Universal A&R Ray Daniels, and Chubby Baby, among others.

NNTME MuCo. songwriter Felisha King spent 5 days in Studio C with engineer Quick writing new songs for her catalog.

Trinidadian engineer and mixer Giandre “Dre The Phoenix” Diaz spent 15 days in our brand new Studio E working with artist/ songwriter Alanna on her new project.

Crown Kingz Productions booked a marathon of sessions, with 3 days in Studio C plus 1 day in Studio A for their G.O.O.D. Music/ Def Jam recording artist CyHi the Prynce to finish recording and mixing his latest mixtape, BHP 2: NAACP, which was dropped on DatPiff straight from the studio.  Engineer Howard White handled mixing duties.  Production on the mixtape was provided by Mannie Fresh, Organized Noize, Jethroe, Treyshotya, Jayo, Tec Beatz, Esteyban, Brandon Black, Jeff Leahr, Fr23sh Preauxdeuce, The Freshman, and Narcotics, with a guest feature from Alanna.

Bahamian beauty and Rowdy Records/ Interscope artist Alex 242 booked 2 days in Studio A to work with producer Drumma Boy, with Pat engineering.

Rich Gang artists Bankroll Mafia booked 3 days in Studio C, and our engineer Ken Padgett recording.

Sko booked 2 days in Studio C for various up and coming artists to host meetings and listening sessions with RocNation‘s Senior Vice President Lenny S., who flew in from New York to attend.

Baltimore rapper and Freebandz artist Test booked 2 days in Studio C with EJ Washington engineering.  Fellow Freebandz artist Steelo Steezy also booked a session in Studio C.

EJ Washington took care of a mix for producer CostaBeats in Studio C.  Rounding out the month were various other sessions in Studio C, including 3 days for TroyB, 3 days for LowKey, and 2 days for Ken, with EJ Washington and Quick splitting engineering duties. We also had our mastering engineer Dale “Rambro” Ramsey master 2 Quick mixed songs for AMH Music Group‘s r&b artist Netta.
