SESSION NOTES: August 2016

Travis Scott

August was another great month for us here at 11th Street!

G.O.O.D Music/Epic Records recording artist Travis Scott booked out Studio A for 5 days this month finishing up his album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, completing records Outside, SDP Interlude, and First Take with engineer Firas Quick. Epic Records also booked Studio B and Studio C for producers such as WondaGurl and OVO Sound producer Boi-1da to work on the project. Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight would go on to debut at #1 on the Billboard Music Charts this month!

Studio B is still blazing with Blac Elvis occupying the room for another 20 days while working with his Mars on Sunday Latino artists La Gente de Clan. Hailing from the Domincan Republic, the duo is working on their debut album to be released soon!

We also saw various other clients return this month including Cymatics spending 2 days in Studio A. Polo Grounds artist Diamond of Crime Mob spent 3 days in Studio C, Kemosabe/RCA Records duo R. City was back in A for a day and internet sensation Mighty Duck also spent a day in Studio A.

Studio F continued to be occupied by F&F Entertainment singer/songwriters Fallon and Felisha King of Cherish with sessions held by Manager/A&R Mathias Sorum. Paradox Music Group producer CC Madcap also came through this month recording, mixing, and mastering music for the EP Paradox. Mixing of Black Sky Recordings artist Vital Deshawn’s debut album The Vital Album also continued this month.

We closed August out nicely with Atlanta producer Cassius Jay booking out Studio C and SupaHotBeats founder and producer WLPWR booking out Studio A to work with 11th Street Music signee Jean Michael.

SESSION NOTES: July 2016

Shirazee

Summer is in full swing and Atlanta is feeling the heat! Happy 4th of July!

Epic Records artist Future and the Freebandz Gang returned at the very start of the month and stayed with us 4 days in Studio A, Studio B, and Studio C. It was a FBG takeover!

Island Records artist Shirazee hung out with in Studio A for 14 days working on new music with engineer Ejay Washington.

Street Money Worldwide artist Quicktrip booked out Studio C for 6 days this month while Columbia Records rapper Dej Loaf booked a session in Studio A for a day.

Studio F continued to be occupied by F&F Entertainment singer/songwriters Fallon and Felisha King of Cherish with sessions held by Manager/A&R Mathias Sorum. Paradox Music Group producer CC Madcap also came through this month recording, mixing, and mastering music for the EP Paradox. Black Sky Recordings artist Vital Deshawn stopped by Studio F to start the mixing of his debut album The Vital Album.

Producer Blac Elvis was back for 20 more days in Studio B and put in major work with Capitol Records artist Silento and producer Jazze Pha. Sean Paul of Atlanta group Youngbloodz also dropped in this month and worked with Blac Elvis on some EDM tracks.

IMS artist Ty Hibbard held it down in Studio C for 3 days with guests such as Street Money Quint while RCA artist 21Savage got to work in Studio B with engineer Shaun Quin. Kemosabe/RCA Records artists R. City returned for 1 day to Studio A as well.

Freebandz artist Casino booked out Studio C for some solo sessions for 2 days this month and sound design gurus Cymatics booked out Studio A for 2 daytime sessions.

Social Media sensation Mighty Duck worked on new music in Studio A for a day while new 11th Street Music artist Miles Jenson started working on new music in Studio C. Miles and his drummer put some cool drums on a new track using Studio A and our Live Room.

Hi Life Records artist Trigga took us out for the month with a session in Studio C.

Flux Pavilion

Things are heating up at 11th Street!

Circus/Atlantic Records EDM DJ Flux Pavilion stopped by Studio A for 2 days while over from the UK on his U.S. tour.

Moroccan artist Elam Jay came back and put in work! Here with us for 8 days, Elam collaborated with writers and producers in Studio C, with Firas Quick engineering.

DJ Stickuhbush spent a day with us in Studio A one weekend and the next weekend actor and 300 Entertainment artist Shameik Moore recorded in Studio A with engineer Ejay Washington.

Studio B was booked out for another 20 days by producer Blac Elvis and we saw Love and Hip Hop Atlanta cast member Lil Scrappy come through and jump on one of Elvis’ EDM tracks. RCA Records artist and The Voice contestant Avery Wilson also dropped by and worked on some new music for his album.

Think It’s A Game artist Rich Homie Quan was back in Studio A with engineer Shaun Quin for a day while Street Money Worldwide artist Quicktrip continued to work in Studio C, spending 6 days with us this month!

Studio F continued to be occupied by F&F Entertainment singer/songwriters Fallon and Felisha King of Cherish with sessions held by Manager/A&R Mathias Sorum. Paradox Music Group producer CC Madcap also came through this month recording, mixing and mastering music for the EP Paradox.

Hi Life Records artist Trigga worked in Studio C as well while Jazze Pha held 2 days of sessions with various artists in Studio A.

Epic Records artist Future brought Freebandz back to the building to occupy Studio A and Studio C for 3 days. Kemosabe/RCA Records artists R. City worked in Studio A for a day while G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recording artist Cyhi the Prynce helped us close out the month in Studio C.

Kodie Shane

Another good month on the books here at 11th Street!

Think It’s A Game artist YFN Lucci stopped by Studio C twice this month to record with engineer Shaun Quin.

Street Money Worldwide artist Quicktrip started us off this month booking 8 sessions in Studio C.

CKP and engineer Nico Solis were with us once this month in studio C.

A1 Recordings/E1 Music artist Rocko recorded in Studio A with engineer Dan Cahiil finishing up his mixtape WordPlay 2, actually releasing it right after walking out of our door following his second session. Talk about hot off of the presses!

Kemosabe Records/RCA musical duo R. City rocked with us still hot off their hit “Locked Away” for 10 hours straight in Studio A.

Producer Blac Elvis came back for another 20 days in Studio B and saw reality star and artist Brooklyn Tankard stop by to record some music and film for the Bravo show Thicker Than Water: The Tankards.

Drum Squad Founder and producer Drumma Boy was back with us in Studio A for 8 days while we hosted Epic Records artist Kodie Shane in Studio C 3 days.

Studio F continued to be occupied by F&F Entertainment singer/songwriters Fallon and Felisha King of Cherish with sessions held by Manager/A&R Mathias Sorum. Paradox Music Group producer CC Madcap also came through this month recording, mixing, and mastering music for the EP Paradox.

A&R Exec Kevin Shine hosted the Writing Sessions America WSA Pressure writing bootcamp one weekend in Studio A and Studio B where up and coming songwriters got the opportunity to practice their craft, participate in team writing exercises, and record their demos in a professional studio.

Rich Homie Quan

April showers bring friends old and new to 11th Street!

Think It’s A Game artist Rich Homie Quan returned for 2 sessions in Studio A , while A1 Recordings/E1 Music artist Rocko put in some work with a total of 4 12-hour blocks in Studio A this month.

Polo Grounds artist Diamond saw us off into April with a session in Studio C with engineer Ejay, and Universal Music Latino artist Jencarlos recorded with engineer Shaun Quin as Studio A’s next booking.

Studio C was buzzing with activity all month and was booked every single day! CKP and engineer Nico Solis brought us in with 3 back to back night sessions in our Studio C while 11th Street Engineer Dan Cahill worked with indie artist Autumn Copeland during the day in Studio C for 2 sessions over the weekend. RCA rapper Dee-1 finished out his long-term sessions strong with a whole week of recording in Studio C with engineer Ejay Washington. CKP returned for the next 5 days straight. Street Money Worldwide artist Quicktrip returned for 3 sessions in the busy room.

Studio C was then introduced to Moroccan artist Elam Jay for 2 days while he worked with Steve Fisher on finding his new sound in America.

IMS artist Ty Hibbard recorded with Ejay for 3 days this month while Drum Squad founder and producer Drumma Boy worked for a day with engineer Firas Quick in the popular Studio A.

Producer Blac Elvis booked another 20 days in Studio B and continued to work with artists ranging from Parkwood Entertainment rapper Ingrid to rising star Kayla Brianna. Keri Hilson’s manager, Al Jamaal Jones, brought his new artist, Cody Matlock, to work on new music.

CKP also started Studio A off strong with 4 days of sessions before passing the torch to Zone 4/Interscope Records artist Keri Hilson who had 1 session in the same room.

Studio F continued to be occupied by F&F Entertainment singer/songwriters Fallon and Felisha King of Cherish with sessions held by Manager/A&R Mathias Sorum. Paradox Music Group producer CC Madcap also came through this month recording music for the EP Paradox.

SESSION NOTES: March 2016

Kanye West

Clients kept on MARCHing in as R&B veteran Kelly Price came by for 2 days on behalf of G.O.O.D. Music artist Kanye West, tracking vocals in Studio A for his highly-anticipated upcoming Life of Pablo album.

Polo Grounds artist Diamond started us off strong in Studio C with engineer Ejay Washington. She would go on to book 2 more days this month.

A1 Recordings/E1 Music artist Rocko came back for 2 days in our Studio A.

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta castmates Ariane and D. Smith stopped by Studio A for one day to film an episode of the hit VH1 show, while Bases Loaded artist CashOut worked out of Studio C.

Sko returned to 11th Street and booked 2 days in Studio C for various up and coming artists to host meetings and listening sessions with RocNations’s Senior Vice President Lenny S., who flew in from New York to be present.

Producer Blac Elvis continued rocking in the B Room with 20 more days as he starts working on new DJ sets mixing EDM and Top 40 hits.

Cash Money artist Jacquees returned to book 3 more days after coming for his February sessions in Studio A with Ejay engineering.

Think It’s A Game artist Rich Homie Quan had sessions in Studio A for 2 days while G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recording artist Cyhi the Prynce recorded in studio C for a day.

Engineer Nico Solis recorded CKP for a total of 8 sessions in Studios A and C throughout the month.

Epic Records artist Future and Freebandz producers Metro Boomin and Southside helped us finish out the month strong with 4 sessions in Studio A, Studio B, and Studio C.

SESSION NOTES: February 2016

Dee-1

February started off nicely with RCA’s own Dee-1 booking out Studio C for 10 days with our engineer Ejay while A1 Recordings/E1 Music artist Rocko booked Studio A for 3 straight days.

Street Money Worldwide artist Quicktrip in Studio C for 2 days that week and A1 Recording/E1 Music artist Rocko working in Studio A for 1 day the same week. Jazze Pha then booked Studio A after for 2 straight days.

DJ Stickuhbush also stopped by studio A to work on a few songs while YGG Tay booked Studio C with engineer Ejay Washington.

51 Minds Entertainment came through and filmed an episode of Oxygen’s Sisterhood of Hip Hop in our Studio A, which features longtime client and Polo Grounds artist Diamond, formerly of Crime Mob.

Producer Blac Elvis continued working in Studio B and had it booked for 20 days this month. Sovereign Agency artist Isaac Caree stopped by with producer Jazze Pha to work on his new gospel album. Elvis also collaborated this month with Keri Hilson, Waka Flocka, K-Camp and Jonathan Stewart, running back for the Carolina Panthers, on ProJams, a platform connecting athletes with artists to create custom music to get them hyped for workouts, games, and life. The result was “Dab on My Haters” which will be released soon!

Studio F continued to be occupied by F&F Entertainment singer/songwriters Fallon and Felisha King of Cherish with sessions held by Manager/A&R Mathias Sorum. Paradox Music Group producer CC Madcap also came through this month recording music for the EP Paradox.

Publishing rights organization ASCAP booked Studio A where studio owner Steve Fisher, Producer Blac Elvis and A&R Mathias Sorum hosted a panel for ASCAP members.

Cash Money artist Jacquees closed out the month in Studio A on the last day of February.
